Health & Wellness Centres – Ayushman Arogya Mandir

A total of 275 Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs) – Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are functional across Balasore District, providing Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) services to the community. These centres deliver 12 Essential Service Packages through a dedicated healthcare team comprising Community Health Officers (CHOs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), and Health Worker Female (HWF)/Health Worker Male (HWM).

The Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative aims to provide accessible, affordable, equitable, comprehensive and quality primary healthcare services closer to the community.

Twelve Essential Service Packages

1. Care in Pregnancy, Childbirth and Postnatal Period.

2. Neonatal and Infant Health Care Services.

3. Childhood and Adolescent Health Care Services.

4. Family Planning, Reproductive Health and Contraceptive Services.

5. Management of Communicable Diseases, including National Health Programmes.

6. Prevention, Screening, Management and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

7. Elderly Health Care, Palliative Care and Rehabilitative Services.

8. Mental Health Care Services.

9. Ophthalmic (Eye), ENT and Oral Health Care Services.

10. Basic Emergency Medical Services and First Aid.

11. Free Essential Drugs and Free Essential Diagnostic Services.

12. Health Promotion, Wellness Activities, Yoga, Teleconsultation and Community Outreach Services.
